Sarah Minchin

Sarah, when nine years old, had a burning desire to learn the French horn. She went to her village brass band and learned firstly that "we don't have them in brass bands, dear" and secondly that if you join a brass band you get to play whatever is in the cupboard, because that is the instrument they are short of players for; in this case the trombone. Sarah went on to play with a wide variety of local bands, youth groups -- including the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (as Principal trombone) -- ensembles and orchestras before studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. Sarah is now a well-known peripatetic music teacher and musician and joined Prime Brass in 2011.
