Michel Sedgwick

Michel Sedgwick started playing the trumpet at the age of 8. At the age of 13 he gained a major music scholarship award to St. Edward's Oxford where he continued his playing under Bob Cutting. In 1992 Michel graduated from the London College of Music, where he studied under the eminent trumpeter and arranger, Paul Archibald, followed by a postgraduate year at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Michel now enjoys a successful career teaching brass as Head of Brass at King's School, Ely, and at St. Faith's School, Cambridge. This, combined with a flourishing freelance career and playing with Prime Brass, leads to a busy but enjoyable life of music.
